The Climate ~
Punta El Custodio has a sub-humid climate and an annual average
temperature of 25°C (77°F).
Throughout the year, days are filled with bright rays of radiant sunshine, creating the ideal environment for flora of intense color and variety.
The coastal highway of Nayarit winds north through Banderas Bay, Sayulita, Guayabitos, and Platanitos...to our paradise!








About the La Villa Bella community
La Villa Bella su Hacienda is part of an exquisite community, known as Punta el Custudio - a securely gated community of private villas built on a peninsula. Safe, isolated, and tranquil.
We are located near the beach village of Platanitos (Little Bananas) on the Mexican Riviera, in the state of Nayarit. The area is known as Mexico's Gold Coast.
The area boasts over 330 days of uninterrupted sunshine, which makes it a year-round destination.

Transportation Options:

Shuttle
Independent shuttle service is available at Puerto Vallarta Airport. For recommendations send email or call Jossie Torres Gill. The average price for four passengers is 150.00 USD one way. If there are additional passengers the shuttle service will quote the fee and this is to be paid in US currency. A tip of 10 to 15% to the driver is expected.
A shuttle has its advantages if you need to stop at retail areas to pick up items that could not be brought on your flight. En route to La Villa Bella and Platanitos there are also areas of interest that can be discussed with your driver. Most shuttle drivers are bilingual (Spanish/English).

Rental Car or Jeep
​
If you prefer the freedom of driving yourself, call Jossie for an independent rental service for an auto, wagon or jeep - plus many other beach type items: boards, boats, kayaks and more. Enjoy exploring many interesting sites and having your own transportation to make your stay even more adventurous.
Note: should you choose to explore, we advise discussing any independent excursions with our staff to ensure familiarity with the area. Details on request.

The Climate
​
The Riviera Nayarit enjoys a mild, tropical and sub-humid climate, very similar to Hawaii.
​
Average temperature is 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius).
​
The rainy season falls between June to November, with showers in the afternoon and warm nocturnal breezes.
​
The dry season runs from December to May, bringing cooler evenings and clear skies for star gazing.

Head North on Pacific Coast Highway 200 - see map*

Take your time and enjoy the drive. Whether you are a seasoned adventure traveler or new to Mexico, the coastal highway enroute to La Villa Bella will dazzle you.

Travel 74 miles (119 km) north-west to Las Varas, Nayarit, veer to the right, and go to the main intersection, and turn left to go west to Platanitos, and turn left at the fork in the road. See sign on the brick wall "Platanitos".
Continue straight up the cerrito/road with the ocean view to the gated entrance at Punta El Custodio.
You will be welcomed at the gated entrance and escorted to La Villa Bella su Hacienda a tropical paradise. Bienvenidos.
